The continent has increasing battles and several powers pushing the borders of a state under control by slavers.
Heroes sent the B team of followers to go do some diplomacy while others worked on building cathedrals and roads and villages into the summer. The party had loaned their flying carpet and sent their B team to explore the Bottomless Pit of Xorth.
Thuvia the starmaiden, her undead brother and a Dwarf Priest of a follower exchange program had been exploring the gatehouse and first Level. The Bishop and the Man with no came to explore Chagrinspire with their followers.
They did make a deal with the alchemists' guild for concessions and everyone seems to have it in for the slavers now.
So Party included:
Bishop
-A priest, a warrior and a dwarf priest follower
The Man With No Name
-Thuvia, a sorceress, and her brother, a revenant knight with Rat Womana Sonya
They wandered around the 1st floor and could see that more activity had been here, and more trains running creatures around at Trans Central Station. They visited the kobold king, who didnt really like the party but did appreciate them ending the kobold orc war. Even the kobold crusade had brought so many new tribes into his fold.
So the party went up to level three via elevator terminal and came to the plaza of the second of five domed urban segments on the level. They saw cable cars and overhead roads and bats in the atrium vault dome. They saw a Market, a deluxe department store and a mall complex. Had a quick look in the department store and killed some giant spiders. They rescued a gnome working-class treasure hunter from the dee,p and he followed them.
Went through the mall and found some intact shops with automatons and one with a spectral clerk spitit in a sword in a magic weapon shop. They bought an aflaming sword and got chased out of a clock shop for being poor. Tried some acorn coffee. Most shops were ruined, some intact and dusty but locked and others immaculate and lit with superior locks and traps.
Came to water complex and came across some orc deserters. They managed to slaughter the lesser ones and the last three who were gh level barbarians with more HP than most of the party, surrendered. They cooperated and got dragged along. In lower areas of the water pump station, they followed pipes into the plant room of the civic centre they were locked out of. So they got into a service lift and reached the clock tower.
The Bishoped sensed enemies, and from around the dangerous cogs amd machinery inside the clock tower came a terrible menace. A Shator Demodand. At first, both sides were confident, except the thing unleashed a flesh-melting cloud, burning everybody and liquifying the gnome. The orcs begged to be free and armed. Rat sonys found her javelins couldn't harm it. The Sartor begrudgingly summoned 8 of its brothers for help. The original shatter was quickly slain, and the orcs fled. Four Shator chased them with small, fleshy, saggy wings. Most of the party was horrified. The revenant knight in his alien jewelled plate killed the Shartor with his vorpal weapon. The Bishop on his burning holy throne had this spell countered by a demodand dispel magic. Magic missiles killed 4 more. The orcs were torn to shreds but gave the party time and position to blast more Shators who used powers back with not much effect. The last Shator finally called *rolls) 8 more Shator! The party finished the last one who had done the calling and teleported away while the beings looked confused about why they were there.
As they killed 15 upper-tiered planar beings and had a hard time, they levelled up again. They are interested in exploring the tower more for specific information and reaching the flying levels.
The rough map was built with the rough outline of the levels and the tables last time.
