  2. I like these variants and I might borrow them. I also like the ratlings and ratfolk and I've considered similar rat-based humanoids but I'm worried that they will be seen as cheap copies of Warhammer Skaven.

    1. i wouldnt worry about it - ive not read a warhammer book since 80s

i remember a magazine "australian realms" had one good article once - converting skaven for 40k - i liked the beastmen in 40k - a whole impirial goatman army or chaos goatmen in space would rock

i recomend using all kinds of beast folk in 7 foot abhuman size and 4 foot beastling version

  3. You should really go digging in the idea mine of Games Workshop's Skaven miniatures range for more. Their cyborg rat ogres and Hell Pit abominations would be useful additions to this roster. Who doesn't love an insane giant rat-thing with a flamethrower or two stitched onto it?

there are a few things here leaning into them
i could do a whole thing on specialist rat folk

i have abhuman class in my game - same stats for barbarians, orcs, gnolls, beastfolk and any 7 foot tall musclebound race
