I use my skill system as basis for theives - they are the skill specialists and all their abilities are just skills. My skill system lets you turn boring fighters or other classes into unique and weird characters - i only need certain mumber of classes because they can be customized. If there's a question as to whether you can do something, we roll a 7 or better on 2d6 with modifiers up to + and - 2, based on what the DM thinks is right.
